Guidance
All recovery residences are found on social model recovery philosophy, which highlights the importance of peer leadership. As residents make recovery gains, they are rewarded with more responsibilities. Level III and IV recovery residences, as well as some large Level IIs, can have complex or hierarchical staffing plans that can undermine resident leadership unless it is mindfully cultivated.
