This standard rule applies to all recovery residence levels of support.

Guidance

Confidentially laws and restrictions may apply to recovery residences based on numerous factors including but not limited to the services the provide, who provides the services, what contracts are in place and what funding is or has been accepted. Beyond what is legally required, recovery residences should consider what is ethically required under the Code of Ethics.

Evaluation

Is there a policy and procedure that ensures the recovery residence complies with confidentiality laws?
Are staff and leadership trained on confidentiality?
