This rule does not apply to level Is, because they do not have direct support staff.

Guidance

This rule is applicable to level IVs, because the clinical services they provide must be delivered by credential staff. This is also applicable to level IIIs to the extent they are using trained and credentialed staff to deliver recovery support (e.g. Certified Peer Recovery Specialist) or life skills training. Level IIs may have credentialed staff.

Some NARR Affiliates offer a Recovery Residence Administrator training and certification to ensure that a designated person at the recovery residence understands the standards and is responsible for upholding the standards until recertification. Please check with your local Affiliate.
