Guidance
This rule speaks to the need for community outreach and engagement with both “other recovery communities”, which can include but is not limited to other recovery residences, recovery community organizations, or Fellowships. In a broader sense it can include other stakeholder groups and networks. The objective is to provide residents and staff with the opportunity to engage and develop recovery supportive relationships or kinship with others. In addition, it is an opportunity to develop goodwill for recovery services and the recovery movement in general.
Evaluation
Is there evidence that residents and staff engage in community relations and interactions to promote kinship with other recovery communities and goodwill for recovery services?
Evidence
Evidence that this rule is upheld should be documented in the leadership manual.
