Guidance
Recovery residence staff, especially direct support staff, are commonly faced with ethical boundaries situations on a weekly, if not daily, basis. At a minimum, a written code of conduct provides staff with some guidance. However, staff must understand the appropriate boundaries well enough to recognize them and understand the actions that should be taken. Depending on the size of the organization, recovery residence often utilize training and/or supervision to support staff regarding appropriate boundaries.
