Guidance

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of solution”. Persons in early recovery may lack a degree of self awareness that could result in nuisance behavior. Instilling “good neighbor” policies into the cultural norms reflects recovery culture.

Evaluation

Are the policies in place aimed at avoiding or preempting common complaints, regarding at least:

    • Smoking

    • Loitering

    • Lewd or offensive language

    • Cleanliness of the property

Evidence

Evidence that this rule is upheld should be documented in the resident packet and the leader manual.
