Guidance

In social model recovery, residents play meaningful roles in leadership and governance. This can take many forms. Regardless, recovery residences need to put mechanisms in place to facilitate this element within the culture. For example: Suggestion box and surveys, Advisor councils or Activity committees.

Evaluation

Is there evidence that mechanisms exist for residents to inform and help guide operations and advocate for community-building?

Evidence

Evidence that this rule is uphold should be documented in the resident packet, leadership manual and accreditation interview.
