3.G.22.b. Resource linkage

Rule

Staff and/or resident leadership educate residents about local community-based resources.

Levels

I

II

III

IV

This rule applies to all levels.

Guidance

Whereas the previous rule focuses on developing a resource directory, this rule focuses on making residents aware of the local resources. There are many ways of accomplishing this. For example, some recovery residences engage senior residents to educate other residents about local resources during house meetings or scheduled activities. This is a way to cultivate a sense of responsibility for oneself and the community.

Evaluation

Is there evidence that residents are linked to resources in the local community?

Evidence

Evidence for upholding this rule should be found in the resident packet and leadership manual.
