Discovering A New Life

DISCOVERING A NEW LIFE recognizes itself as a Level III recovery housing residence. Residents live as a community rather than a group of individuals renting a space. The residence consciously creates and cultivates peer-based support and has a home-like environment, similar to a single-family home. We expect residents to participate in scheduled, programmatic activities that paid members of staff coordinate and facilitate. Typical activities include life skills and employment coaching. All activities have a recovery-oriented focus. The residence provides no clinical activities and refers residents to outside clinical service providers.
