Angel Haven is permanent supportive housing for individuals living a life of recovery. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) defines recovery as a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives and strive to reach their full potential. Our mission is to provide safe, affordable Recovery Residences for individuals who want to live a balanced, healthy recovery lifestyle as members of a supportive, loving family and community through use of evidence-based practices, standards, support services, research, education and advocacy. Peer Supportive Recovery residences provide safe, healthy, abstinent living environments based on a social model of recovery. The emphasis is on developing mutual support and skills for people in recovery that will enable them to lead productive lives in communities. Our Angel Haven families live as a family of choice. The most important requirement is to have the desire to be a member of a healthy family that is living a lifestyle of recovery.
